Tetrachloroethane (C2H2Cl4)
1. Tetrachloroethane is of the solution:
Carbon
Hydrogen
Chlorine
2. Tetrachloroethane is a manufactured chemical that is colorless with a sweet odor. It is so volatile and does not burn easily.
3. At the present date, Tetrachloroethane has limited applications in the United States. In the past, it was used to produce other chemicals and as a solvent to clean/degrease metals.
4. Even though there are low concentration levels of exposure, Tetrachloroethane can be found in indoor/outdoor air. Breathing high levels of Tetrachloroethane may cause fatigue, dizziness, and vomiting.
5. Austin Air filters have a high capacity for this particular substance and will do a sufficient job absorbing Tetrachloroethane from the environment.
