2. Ethyl Bromide is a highly flammable, colorless liquid with an ether-like odor.
3. This substance is used as an extraction solvent for fats, waxes, resin, and as a refrigerant in fire extinguishers. It is also used as an alkylating or ethylating agent in organic synthesis/gasoline, and in the manufacture of pharmaceuticals.
4. Exposure to Ethyl Bromide may cause eye/skin/respiratory irritation, as well as kidney and liver damage. Ethyl Bromide is also known to be a Central Nervous System depressant.
